There’s always lots going on in Wickham Market – and lots of help at hand too. Local Councils

The offices of Wickham Market Parish Council are open regularly and are located in the village centre, at the rear of the village hall (door nearest to the Sports Club). They are staffed the Town Clerk and his team.

Community Activities & Groups – GENERAL

The Wickham Market & District Monthly Gardening Club  hold monthly meetings in the village hall.

Suitable for anyone interested in learning a little more about gardening. Meetings have speakers on all sorts of garden-related topics, plus interesting visits in the summer months.

Village centre (Glebe Allotments) and edge of village (Simon’s Cross Allotments) plots

Glebe Allotments – located on the east site of the village, access via Crown Lane (53 plots) with a mixture of full and half plots to suit all needs. Oldest allotments in the village, on land owned by the Diocese.

Simon’s Cross allotments –  located at the northwestern corner of the village, just next to the Simon’s Cross housing estate. Road access is from the B1078 (40 allotments).

The Wickham Market Flower Club  hold monthly meetings in the village hall.

Anyone with an interest in flowers and flower arranging welcome.  A chance to watch experienced demonstrators sharing their knowledge and skill in a friendly atmosphere. Flower arranging brings such joy to people.

Part of the Suffolk East Federation of Women’s Institutes, the group meets for fun and friendship. Meetings with a variety of speakers and outings throughout the year.

Formed in 1982, the small Club has a big heart without any political or religious affiliations – just a group of men and women trying to do amazing things.
