Summer Market at Wickham Market

Wickham Market’s popular Summer Market is happening on Saturday, June 20th, from 9am to 2pm on the market square.  There will be a wonderful collection of 40 talented artisan makers, producers, bakers, and growers. Visitors will have the chance to browse through a unique array of textiles, jewellery, pottery, gifts, homeware, artwork, books, fresh vegetables, delicious cakes, and beautiful flowers.

Local community groups will be participating helping to give the market its unique personality.

Food and refreshments will be available from Mikey & Jordy’s Ice Cream, The Ration Box, and the Waffle Wagon and Quaynotes, a local folk trio, will perform a gentle blend of songs, sea shanties and traditional melodies.

Local shops, businesses and cafes around the square will be open too.

Wickham Market has become well known for its large seasonal markets, which are organised by the parish council. This time, visitors will receive a free shopping bag with their purchases to help reduce the use of single-use plastic bags. The initiative has been made possible with the support of East Suffolk Council.
