There is a chance to discover more about bats when Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Woodbridge Wildlife Group lead an Evening Bat Walk at the Trust’s Foxburrow Nature Reserve, Saddlemakers Lane, Melton, IP12 1NA on Friday 20 September, starting from the Reserve car park at 6.30 pm.
Phil Smith, chairman of the Woodbridge Wildlife Group, said “This reserve is a mosaic of habitats including re-wilded farmland, woods, orchards and meadows. With several miles of coppiced and re-planted hedges, it is perfect habitat for bats, and a variety of species are present at the reserve. We will have bat detectors with us and hope to help our walk participants to see some bats and learn more about them.”

The cost is £5 per person with under 25’s free, and bookings can be made online through www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org (events section) or by telephoning them on 01473 890089.
