Open Farm Sunday at Valley Farm, Wickham Market

Valley Farm is taking part in Open Farm Sunday in association with LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) on Sunday 7th June, 10am until 3pm. This free event is an ideal way to meet the horses and other animals.

Valley Farm is carefully managed with permanent grassland, hedgerows and waterwaysto benefit wildlife and provide a home for their horses,as close to their natural environment as it can be.

Look out for birds, bees, blossom and butterflies. You may spot signs of deer, fox, otter, and badger. You might see rabbits, hares, barn owls, little owls, kingfishers, herons or Egyptian geese.

The farm tracks are open 10am to 3pm for visitors to explore the woodland, wander along the riverside, sit quietly on the benches, observe the wildlife, and appreciate nature. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and so are hobby horses if you wish to bring your own to canter round the tracks or watch the activities taking place in the riding school.

The Camargue Cafe at the entrance to the farm is open for refreshments, meals and snacks and has a small children’s play area. Parking is free.
