Local Market in Wickham Market
Wickham Market has had a long-established history of holding a market in the square. Permission for a weekly market and two fairs was first granted by King Henry VI back in 1440.
This tradition has been revived and Wickham Market now hosts markets each Wednesday and Saturday. These mini-markets (usually hosting fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, cheeses and pies) are open from 8.00am to 1.00pm every week. All markets are outdoors on 'The Hill' in the centre of the village. 30 minutes free parking is available in the short stay car park on the Market Hill.
Look out for our bumper Easter, Summer and Winter Street Markets when a much wider range of local craft, food and specialised items are on sale, as well as our monthly local makers' markets.
Truly local events with a wonderful friendly atmosphere that Wickham Market is renowned for.
