All Saints Church
Dating in parts from the 14th century, All Saints’ is a flint and stone quoin church with an elegant and unusual early tower, topped off by a slender leaded spire with a clock bell. There is also a Sanctus bell turret on the eastern gable of the nave. The west front and canopied door dates from the 15th century.
All Saints is very close to the village centre, and its bells ring out on Sunday mornings, on practice evenings and for special occasions.
All Saints Church in Wickham Market is family-friendly with movable seating, a screen and sound system (services are often live-streamed) and a more contemporary style of Sunday services.
It is led by Rev Charlotte, who is also responsible for St Peter and St Paul Church in Pettistree, just a mile away, which holds traditional Church of England services. The two churches work closely together, with shared team leadership for services, prayer meetings, the choir, and home groups.
Both churches welcome people from Wickham Market, Pettistree, and surrounding villages, including visitors to the Suffolk coast and those seeking information regarding wedding, baptism, funeral and thanksgiving services.
All Saints holds weekly Open Door coffee-and-chat sessions and Open Pantry mornings, where visitors can top up on food items. For more details on these and the informal, friendly Sunday-afternoon Oasis services, please visit the website.
